    attention about buying clone dm800hd!!

hello there! i just like to warn u because this is what happened to me!
Originally i was going to buy my clone dm800hd from ********* but this website which is **************s.c. This website told me not to buy from **********..they told me that if i bought from them instead it would come with 1 year warranty and if my dreambox ever broke or i had problems with it they told me they would fix it or replace it for me without hesitation. Then after 2 weeks in me having my new dreambox from **************.c it broke, the power surge tuner problem all the time it kept coming up i didnt know what to do so i contacted them asking for help and advise on why this might have happend, i waited for a reply form them and i did not get one...so i kept emailing them all the time..i did not get any reply from them.I wasted ?220 buying a clonebox from this website **************.c . I would advise anyone who is thinking about purchasing an item from then to think twice or look somwhere eles.
    best regards

why do people not buy direct from china rather than use these dodgy websites? You can pay on a monday and receive your box on a friday with 12 months warranty

              Hi all!

Thanks for the advice. I'm actually on the lookout for either a DM500-C or the DM800HD version. Can someone please direct me to any China sellers (reputable ones please.)?

              Thanks!

If buying from china the only one I always use now is *********.com as they always deliver, and only one I know which really gives you 12 months warranty.

                    Hi thresomedude and Bonesy!

Thanks for pointing out as to where to look for the items.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. Currently on the market for cable receivers, the most common (or stable hardware) is actually the DB500C which has got the highest deployment units and variety of images for it. I've found DB500C aka clones and also DB500C-oem (of which sellers claimed to be of the better tuner as it has got the latest, stable Philips tuner.

As for DB800HD, i understand that the item is launched not too long ago (in 2008). For the DB800HD, there's no HDMI output but rather a DVI which there's adapter for DVI-to-HDMI and the firmware of DB800HD has got to support output of audio via DVI.

DB800HD looks promising but the price is setting me back. I'm actually looking for a boxtop to for exploring & experimentation. I was hoping to get a model which allows a harddisk integration for recording of shows (and if it has got HDMI output, will be a bonus!)

Apart from DB800HD, what other "stable" models are out in the market [i need DVB-C].

                    Please advise.

                    Thanks for reading!

                    Cheers!

@perimbean, I have only experienced DM500S and DM7020 with good luck. I have got over 10pcs DM500S', and they still going...
