Tuner problems

hi all need some help, I know there has been several written about this before so I start a new one instead of looking all over here.


My quiestion is: My tunder is falling on the hd channels some time I have 100% snr and sometime 0% snr and then offcoarse no picture, my system is; GP 4.60 clone DM 800 BL 75 sim 2.01.

Any ideas what can be fixed?

i also have the same problem and have TRIED EVERYTHING FROM NEW IMAGE TO TWEAKING THE SATS with no look if anybody can help great if not please don't be negative

Well Oliy, I have. A lot. But there seems not to be any answer what to do.

Thats why, we all need some help some time and looking for answer to problem, even you I think?

So to answer to you questions: yes I hope that someone have the answer to me and many more like me that have the same problem......

Not so sure that is the answer.

Tested to change my bouquete and sudenly it workt again, there seems to be a problem in channel list, not sure what yet.

Maybe Dreambox edit mess up the bouquete's.

you shouldnt really use Gemini Project on cloned boxes..

from a ten second search on here found this..

I bought an ALPS tuner with branded capacitors, ?31, and after changing all HD channels are working. % has gone up from the 40% i was getting all along to 88%

But now have a bizzare issue. Sky Sports 1 HD is unwatchable, glitching every second. signal level is 58% on this channel alone. Why is it so? how may i fix it? I have 6 images and i have tried them all but stil the same, glitchy SP1 HD.

To all those having tune failed problems, find new or used ALPS tuner and problem is solved

there are lots of threads on this mate.. a simple search would have seen it

if you want a box to work perfectly buy an original mate.. its a better option

Well anyway, made a new channel searh, and now all hd seems to work again, but this time I will not run it in Dreamboxedit, will see if it will stay working this time.

well mine has not worked since day one and even bought another tuner and that did not even work i have tried other images and i have sky hd mini dish as well as motorised dish still the same no sky hd channels any help please

check the alignment of the dish.. they are just thrown up by the sky engineers.. a sky dish is a sky dish.. its the same one for HD and SD

Problem is we have skyHD box and it recieves the HD channels no problem I know what your thinking why bother with a dm800 well the skyhd contract ends next month anyway that's a different story so I should still get the skyhd channels on the dm800 I just wish I could send it to somebody that really knows because I have been at it now for 3 weeks plus late nights doing my head in to say the least

hi guys been deciding wether to buy an original or clone, ive read on other forums that this is a very common problem regarding skysports1 hd, chan4hd and a few others..if you have a long run of cable..try using an inline amplifier....like these

I was in the same problems few days back. Remove the name-less, poorly made tuner which come with the box from China. Buy yourself an ALPS tuner and swap. Problem solved. You get original ALPS tuners from eBay: Neue und gebrauchte Elektronikartikel, Autos, Kleidung, Sammlerst?cke, Sportartikel und mehr ? alles zu g?nstigen Preisen

What i have found though is that Sky sports 1 HD, channel 4HD and discovery HD do have picture but glitches every few seconds

if you get tuner failed, oyu need to modify the tuner itself by rppleacing a capacitor
