DM800 HD PVR Wierd Problem

Hello firstly great forum. I have learned a lot from reading posts from this forum.

I have this problem and I am having problems solving it and I hope someone from here can help me.

I recently purchased a DM800 HD PVR clone and after setting it up it worked perfectly for 5days (HD and SD channels). But now when using a DiseqC it seems to be stuck on the SAT 19.2E and when I try go on another satellite (such as 28.2) I get a "TUNED FAILED!" error. The SNR and BER would be zero while the AGC would have a value. I currently have 4 LNBs so I have a 4x1 switch.

I know this problem has been discussed in many many forums but what is strange about this problem is that when I try connect my old DM500s to the same DiseqC it now suffer the same problem. It can't seem to change the satellite any more. Before I connected the DM800 it worked perfectly. I shall be buying a new DiseqC soon but it can it be possible the DM800 is damaging the DiseqC switches?

I was thinking of maybe changing the power supply of the DM800 maybe that is causing the problem but right now I am really stuck and have no clue on what to do

I have also connected it another DiseqC which was being used by another DM500 and the same tunefailed error occured. Also when the DM500 was connected back the DiseqC didn't seem to work correctly anymore.

Please can someone advise me on what to do I am starting to go through diseqC switches like they are use once and dispose

I also always shut down the dreamboxes and then unplug from the mains before I disconnect or connect anything to them.

It seems to be a disq error not a error in the dreambox itself, do you have a motorised system or a multiple sat system?

I have a fixed satellite dish with 4 LNBs on it.

I just purchased a new DiseqC and still the same problem. The DM500 boxes were working fine before I connected the DM800 to their diseqc.

I am having the same problem with my original DM800 and it is an original. I thing that this is a very well known bug with the clones and original. My box still has 8 months warranty, and at first thought it might have been a tuner failure, so my supplier sent me a new tuner. I installed the new tuner but still have the same problem. It seems it is a diseqc switch problem which after some reading, the dm800hd pvr is fussy about what diseqc it uses.
I have tried many images but all seem to have the same problem.
But tonight i seemed to have improved the problem an it only happens a few times.
On tuner config, i use to use simple settings, now i have cofigured in "advanced" and the problem is not 100% cured but deffinately alot better.
If you need help with your settings let me know and i will show you how mine are set.
I too have four lnbs set at 13,16,19.2 and 28.2.

Today I decided to redo all the wiring passing new etc etc.

and now all the DM500s started working again with the old DiseqC switches. I plugged in the DM800 and it worked perfectly HD channels and SD. I have the same satellites as you Danny. I don't think changing the wires would of made a different. I don't know hopefully it will work longer than 3days this time......

I have tried many drivers and images and also DiseqC switches and tuner settings. Right now its on simple and everything seems to be working well....

Make sure all the wires are in correctly and without any damage or rust or anything. I guess.

Glad you sorted the prblem mate, finger crossed.
My box too was fine the first couple of months then i started getting probs. But after a new tuner and some tuner configs, all seems fine for me too.
Keep me posted mate if anything changes and will do the same for you. Good luck mate

problem with dm 800 pvr

hi to everyone i have 37 inc samsung lcd tv and dreambox 800 hd pvr. i connected the dm hd 800 with lcd throug dvi wire but snowing is still coming and picture is nt good could u tell me that what should i do with cable that y the picture is nt coming so good.and another problem is this that please tell me that how can i see 4 satellites at the same time on dm 800 hd because i have already joined 4 satellites throug diseqe switch but i dont know that how can i change diseqe position in dreambox please send me setting of dream box that how can i see 4 satellites at the same time.
