dm800 recording

hi guys not long had my dm800 its all up and running but i have just put a 320gb harddrive in it. can someone tell me what time shift is for? and can i record one channel while watching another? i havent got the manual thats y im askin for some help tx john

you only have one tuner so you record what you watch. time shift is pausing live tv. press yellow to do this and then normal play/pause/rew/frd/stop buttons apply. to exit timeshift press tv

just quick question
if i put 2 events on timer and if they are on 2 different satellite would dm800 turn the dish from one satellite to other ?

yes mate dish will be powered to next sat , also its possible to record one channel , and watch another channel , provided its on same transponder (if its not , it will be greyed out in your channel list , if its bright , it can be watched without hindering the recording)

i don't need change anything on tuner settings is that correct also can i just leave the box on standby or switched on?
