    Dm800 an HD channel problems

Need some help with a DM800 clone. I have been reading at the forum and it seems like all (almost) of the clones have this problem. Cant open HD channels some times + tunerfail message etc. I have bootloader v75 and gemini image. Could anyone help me with this issue as I still do not know exactly what to do? Change tuner? Change a little part in tuner? Change image or install new drives? Please some help on what do to exactly. For example first step...second step...and so on

This sounds like you have a reception problem. Check % of signal....

thanks, I have good reception and as I change from DVBs- to DVBS2 it decrease to 0 % but that is because the channel is not DVBS2.

You could try doing the capacitor fix see if that sorts it

            I go a PANASONIC|EEEFK0J102AP|CAPACITOR, 1000UF, 6.3V | Farnell Ireland

and its a J rev tuner. Will the fix work with the J rev of the tuner with that cap.

            Thanks

What to do with "R7" and the other "ring" I know I have to remove c1 and replace it with "1000UF, 6.3V "

You had Rev J, am I right? And the fix worked for you? What kind of problems did you had before? Heat problems, tune fail message, Not showing any HD channels, poor signal?

Look at the picture....you remove c1 then solder the new capictor (the big black thing smacking you in the face ) to R7 and the other ring you dont solder the new capicitor to c1.

Only 2 channels anyway. Setanta sports and setanta ireland or rest have ceased.
