Cant connect my DM800 to the PC

    Cant connect my DM800 to the PC

    So im havin problems connectin my DM800 to the PC have followed this to the letter
    How to Connect your Dreambox to your PC
    Im using Nabilsat image
    and i get
    LAN Adapter OK
    Local Network OK
    DHCP OK
    Ip Address unconfirmed
    Namesever unconfimed
    now the ip addy is as per the tut 192.168.1.100 and the nameserver is left blank again as per
    ive been trying now for 2days and nearly bald
    can some one please cast a light ?

      Have you got a router and if so what is the ip address of the router?

          I connect my pc by wifi with a usb dongle to a BT 2wire 2700 hgv router the signal strength varies from low to very good the ip of the router which ive just gone down stairs and checked is 86.143.73.111
          Got into the router and it says Dreambox connected by wireless scratching me head now

              in the dreambox
              put the router ip in the gateway bit of the adapter settings
              and make sure you add the netmask setting as well
              which should be in your router settings also
              dm800-s=1.1 m triax motorised dish=titanium twin lnb

                  Remove the ip address of your router or at least mask it as we don't want you to be traced by anyone not that you are up to anything mischevious. On your pc if you do Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig /all you should see a lot of info. Amongst this there should be something like nameserver or DNS server you need to input that as well in your dm800 network settings.

                      I hear what your saying about the router but theres only me knows how to access it and when i went down earlier i removed most traces ...now in the process of installing a new image so will try in the morrow
