DM800S HD Newbie Help

Hi,

Finally took the step from Cable to Satellite.

After reading up on here and various other sites I decided to purchase the DM800S HD (Clone).

This will be with me early next week.

Just to ensure I have grasped what is required to get me up an running can someone cast an eye over the below and put me right.

1. Connect straight in to my existing (working Sky UK dish)

2. Box is loaded with BL 72 & Gemini 4.5 image. (Is this image ok to start with or should I look to change before moving on?)

3. I need to select the satellite in the scanning menus.

4. Load CCam as a plugin from the image

5. Scan for channels

6. Save and set up bouquets.

Dream 800 clone!

Hi!

Your dreambox 800 hd clone will came with preinstalled gemini 4.40 secondstage 72,but without any emu inside. So when you plug in and connect all components (tv,amplifier etc) you will enter the setup wizard. Firstable you must handle a network connection in order to download latest CCcam emulator from gemini server inside image. So if your router have IP 192.168.1.1 for example,and your PC's IP is 192.168.1.42 you can assign manualy IP for your dreambox 192.168.1.43,but be sure that you first disable DHCP value. After that you can skip wizard,enter the blue panel with pressing blue button once,select addons,enter the cam folder,select latest CCcam 2.1.4 press OK,wait for auto install to be complet and confirm with green button,then enter the cam config folder,mark cccam config line,press ok and wait for autoinstall to be done,after that you just leave the addon menu with exit button. In blue panel with cursor select CCcam 2.1.4 and confirm with green button or press start cam line. After that you must restart the GUI to save new changes into your dreambox. So now you can enter the main menu,settings,enable tuner,select you desired sattelite location and scan all the channels...
