Hi folks I am trying to re flash a DB after a no CE error. I believe it to be a genuine box it has the dream hologram but who knows.

It is hanging and not moving when it hangs the LCD displays the no CE error as if the link has closed. It is a direct null with correct port I have tried a USB converter also and 2 different PC's cant find any answers on here yet.

The Universal Dream up is all that works for my box too.

The box is a 800 HD. Any help please? I will be up all night

Flash again but use an image which has a lower bootloader. Just try the lowest you can find to confirm your box is ok.

I cant flash any more it wont let me the dream up hangs and the web interface wonk.

Yes you need to use dreamup and a null modem cable. It will be very slow (maybe 30 mins) but don't worry you can flash it the fast way once its back up.

connect with both a null cable and an ethernet cable from router ,
Also i thought the "no ca error" was only associated with clones ?

I couldnt get dreamup to do its full procedure , however once display on dm changes to "http mode" it will display an ip address , i just entered this into browser and flashed as per normal routine

Hi & thanks for your replys.

I was nearly 100% sure my box was not aclone and i got it from a reputal sorce at a normal price with all holagrams intact, but I could be wrong

Anyway I have read about the HTTP method only my prob is i can not get that far. It hangs and almost the 1st stage I connect null modem turn power on DM800 is recognised something is uploaded then when 100% the lcd on the box shows the no ce error from just saying dream and dream up displays upload complte waiting for acknowledge. If i reboot i get the same message this is using a usb converer and a different pc with out one. I am downloading the link you sent and will read.test and repost also

Class! I love the download i have been looking for a patched dream up after reading about it the non grey out method might just help me. one question could you suggest what imge to install? Nabilosat is what was on it. another thing about the clone side. teh lcd displays when the wrron goto DB7020.com for details. does that mean anything seeing as it is a 800HD?

My Dm800 clone displayed that exact message mate ,that link should get your box back to life mate
i`m using a patched nabilo image for clones , does all i want , however everybody got there own favs ,
there is a "genuine dreambox plugin" that will tell you if your box is legit , as for halograms , my clone has them too , those damn chinese manufacturers are bloody good !

Im not suggesting you use the plugin mate , as i am not sure what it does if it deems your box a clone , maybe others can advise ?

I will not get testing till wednesday night as imaway for a bit but can u give me a version of your image? I really odnt care what it does as i just use the basic functions on the box anyway.
