Picture breakup

Hi, I am suffering with picture breakup on my original DM800hd. using Nab12 and cccam 2.1.2. with a 25m(ish) cable run and a 0.2db lnb.
Now I know this sounds daft but the but the breakup only seems to happen when theres certain types of traffic coming ie scooters, lorries, buses etc and with me living on a main road you can imagine thats quite annoying. I've read the other posts on here and they say to get a signal booster which I will get but someone also said to get a 12db attenuator, I was just wondering what the attenuator did and whether I can use them both together? Also whether I need the 0.1db lnb

hi,the attenuator is when the signal is too strong and it cuts down the level which in your case is not really the problem,where your are situated is the prob,you could try an in line amp cost about ?5, can your dish be moved so it is not as close to the traffic,this used to happen with my tv aerial when i lived close to a main road,hope this info is of some use,cheers
