tuner configuration settings

Hi there (total newbie to satelite)
I have just fitted a 1m dish with a technomate TM2300 super HH motor,which will be set by installer this week ,got the dm800hd only a few months old. running with Nabilosat Black Hole V0.12. Enigma 2.Can anyone tell me what all the settings regarding the box telling the dish where to go,in tuner configuration.I have entered my long/lat and it is set to simple at the min.I assume it needs setting to advanced in reception settings,and this is where I need alittle help,if you have yours working well then your the guy.

Simple setting should work with the correct long and lattitude in then go to sat finder and choose a sat see if it locks on.

Thanks for that fergal i am used to working with a nokia dbox on cable but now moving on to sat there is a lot to learn. I am just trying to find my way arround the menu options, I was just wondering if I might need to alter any of the settings regards ie

problem is when it doesnt lock on and you have to try and tune it yourself ,still trying to store some of mine weeks later,sorry for butting in to the thread

In simple mode there is no Diseqc settings to alter
You could try getting your sats this way (ignore my post just read the pdf)

is itb the sat list you uploaded ,that what you mean to send to the box,where do you send it var,etc thanks

i have great signals on 13,28 19,took me a while to get 1 west but i can only get 52% signal and a lot of the channel s tune failed due to this,my dish is fine,just seems to be the 800s that give this problem of getting sats,followed the guide fergal,very handy,but doin me head on now

78% on BBC World News on 1W thor but i am using simple mode in the tuner configuration
putting my long and lat in, your dish might be sligtly out
give us a channel you are only getting 52% on and i will check what i get.

dont even get anything on bbc world news,never had this problem on the 7020

Intersting reading. I just got my DM800 last week. Got the dish and all installed this week. However unable to get all the channels when tuning in to a satelite. That also with a SNR og 80+%. Also unable to get 1?W, thor satelites. Mindbogeling. I'm located nearby Basel Switzerland (north side). All I can see is that a 60 cm dish should do. I've a 80cm to be safe. But not able to get signal for 1?W. And no there is no trees or buildings in the way.... I'm a newbie for this... I guess thats the root cause..

1 west is the big problem for me,on some of the others i get 100% signal,but its really doin me head in,even now 28 needs fine tuning when i go to it,never did before i messed around trying to get 1 west,im baffled

I get the same readings as you on kiss TV 59%
Do a manual scan on 11325 H sr 24500 fec 7/8 for bbc world news
