i cant get bbc when i manually move the dish,thats the one i tried to set up first ,gave up and used another transponder

You dont have to move the dish you said you get kiss tv on thor so you are already on 1w thor
just do a manual scan on the details i have given see piccie
menu,setup,service searching,manual scan

no i mean when i was looking for 1 west thats the transponder i used bbc but couldnt lock a signal,so i had to go to another transponder to get a lock on,scanned the sat and it doesnt find the transponder for bbc world

I have posted a piccie and details how to do a manual scan on that one transponder try it
make sure all the details are exactly the same as the piccie.

ye finds 9 channels,history,norge,tv4,animal planet etc,but no bbc

I find 11 channels when scanning Thor 11325 h 24500 fec 7/8

and there different from mine.ill have another go tomorrow,seen mentioned if the dish is slightly out ,ye would struggle with hd channels compared to a sd box,thanks for all your help again fergal

Guys sorry to jump back in this thread, I started it and I still havent set my dm800hd up yet. The dish is positioned and set up fine now and works fine with a tm unit, so I am sure it is just getting all my settings right. But the question is now I am trying to enter my long lat settings, for some reason my remote will not let me enter a higher number than 3. does anyone know how to sort it.
