yes mate you can.. read this link below..

To telnet, click START > RUN and type Telnet ip.address.of.dreambox
A command window will appear, enter username root and password dreambox.

To backup an image using Telnet

    * Telnet to the box and paste the following command:

    cat /dev/mtd/3 > /tmp/backup.img

    * FTP to the box and navigate to the /tmp
    * Here you will find the backup.img file.

It's easy anyway m8. Just back up your channels using Dreambox edit and save them somewhere on your pc.
When you want to reflash your box It takes less than a minute to flash a new image. FTP the channels back. Add the cams from the addons menu. Set you lat and long and your done. Takes about Five minutes in total

          THE TRUTH
          The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

ftp to your box to etc/enigma2 / copy the enigma2 to your pc which is your setting/channels
                    and
ftp to etc/tuxbox/ satellite xml/ copy the satellite xml to your pc as a backup

these then can be used if your image goes tits up

You can use flashwizard to create a image.
