thats an awfull lot of cable also mate , 100 to 120 feet as short a run of cable as is possible is better.
i love it when a dreambox comes together.

Just been reading on another forum. Apparently due to the heating issues with dm800 clone this can also affect HD viewing hence glitching. They used a laptop fan and voil? glitching on HD was gone. I think I have a fan (from the mrs) and see if that works. Ultimately I am going to change the dish and go for a 78cm triax.

No one know anything about ECM times?

                    gio 65,

got my in line amp, off uk dreamshop, and it works a treat,
ss1 hd, espn hd slyscfi hd etc, all great no glitchs.
was geting snr falling between 65 and 75.
now its a stedy 75+, on some channels it gone up to 80+
not trying to sell for him, cos i dont know him, but 100% improvement.

my set up 1.0m dish, quad lnb, running a dm 800, gem 4.70, bl75, L3 tuner

                        Damiensk

thanks for the update. I think I need to put in a bigger dish and check what tuner I have then I should also be ok as I have the inline amp but freezing. My only other problem is high ECM times which is causing my channels to glitch a lot. It's really doing my nut in.

I am interested in getting one of these in-line amps, but I have a motorised setup. Anyone have one of these amps on and experienced issues with channels on other satellites?

i have a motor set up,
and using a in-line amp, with no problems on other sats.

Guys, I have seen 80cm faval sat dish (fixed) 0.1db lnb and wall mount for ?45. Worth it? If anyone else can find something cheaper let me know.

Also re lnb which are the best ones to use? I'm not interested in foreign Sats just uk only but want better signal (most people r saying get a bigger dish and il have better signal)

I have a feeling I have the j or k version of the tuner on dm800 but hopefully the bigger dish will eradicate the glitching etc
