hi just received my dm800 hd from china just upgrading from my dm600 was very easy to set up and use.

but this dm800 is quite hard to set up and the image is not user freindly is thier another clone safe image that i can use which is user friendly and easy to set up like Gemini 4.7.

this is the bootloader and image it has on it now want to change it to something simple like the dm600s image.

boot75, gemi4.6, sim2.01, fan on the heat sink, tuner alps version l3,

do you mean dish set up
i had problems after swapping from my dm500 it took me ages to get all my motor positions stored as far as i am aware all gemini images for the dm800 are the same layout
there are plenty of guides on setting up i i went with DiSEqC 1.2
is your set uP iswith a motor here is an example i got hold of


If your using DiSEqC 1.2 you will have to set-up the dish positions manually. If your usuing USALS it should be automatic.

Here's the USALS procedure from memory (someone please jump in and correct me if I've made any mistakes)

First make sure the dish is correctly aligned on a satellite, eg THOR 1W

Press Menu -> Set Up -> Service Searching -> Tuner Configuration

Choose Tuner
ALPS BSBE2 (DVB-S2) - Press OK

Configuration Mode: Advanced

Satellite : THOR 1W

Voltage Mode: Polarization

Tone Mode: band

LNB : LNB 1

DiSEqC Mode: 1.2

Use USALS for this Sat: Yes

Longitude: Set this to the correct Longitude for your area.
To find the correct longitude settings for your area go to the following website
Worldwide map search, route finder and travel directions - powered by Multimap

In the "Find a Map" box at the top left of the page, enter your post code.
Select your country in the drop down box below it and click on the "Find" button.

This will display a map on the screen and below the map at the bottom right you
will see your Latitude information, example below for Post Code NW1 UK :-

Lat: 51:31:59N (51.53319)
Lon: 0:08:40W (-0.1445)

So in this example in the Dreambox menu you'd set

Longitude: 51.533
West

As Popi said set your lat and long. Download Catseye settings and upload to your box using dreamset. This will give you all your sats and bouquets.
Personally i would bin Gemini and download Nabilosat Blackhole.Make sure it;s the one for clone boxes. Available in the downloads section.

cant find the downlaod section had a good look has the downlaod section been removed??

i put nabilosat on set position up on astra 28.2 stored location channles work ok but some channels when i change them on astra motor starts movin then i lose all postion on astra agian.

looks like the nabilosat image is rubbish when i move to 13east it takes forever to to find postion.

the signal is ok on tuner showing 87% and 96% on some channels.
