20db in-line amp

Guy's will an in-line amp work on my dm800 with a static sky dish, was just wondering where it would get the power from to work, I know it gets power from a lnb on a motorised dish, but not sure how on a static.

power by receiver, you need to buy the correct type.. you can buy from here or where you want to but this guy his good feedback..!

That's the one I got but doesn't make any difference, it's like it's not getting any power, the SNR doesn't change, hd channels are SNR 50 and sd channels are SNR 60, but when I put this on their the same? is there a way to set the dm800 to power it you think.

it automatic powers it, you have got the in-line amp the right way round? if still no joy if i was you i would look for shorts in your cable perhaps getting a new lnb etc..
