    Best image for orginal 800HD

Im swapping my clone 800HD for an original and want to flash it with a decent recent image. Does anyone have an original 800HD? Will the drivers get updated with a newer image and does the sim get updated also?

    Thanks

Thanks, I've used Blackhole before on my clone. Is it still the same way to install these newer images? I previously done it with just a network cable

      Thanks

Best done by browser, dreamup takes 62 mins approx.
Why you changing your cloned unit??the original is pricey and both do the same job.

The original Dreambox 800 can take the very latest image and drivers without any hassle.
Also the internal components are better quality on an original. I am exchanging my clone for an original for ?135

only problem with originals is they get to hot..!!! i had to leave mine on its side to keep cool, my clone runs alot cooler than the orig..

How are you finding this box to use? I'm considering this one or the 500HD which has an HDMI connection, useful as it carries sound also. The 800HD has pvr capabilities which may be useful i guess.

i have dm800 but i find watching hd stuff over home network in my experiance cant stutter and pixalate a bit , sd is ok i find

so with an 500hd u would need a good network running i guess for this to get the best out of it

Im about to order a Dreamcooler for mine. That will bring the temperature down.
Do you have any noticeable differences between your clone and original? do you have a continous steady picture on HD channels on your original?

                      Thanks

The DVI port on the 800 also carries sound btw , no need for seperate cables !

Cheers for the reply, so is the Dreamcooler worth it because you said you keep your original 800 on its side

                            cheers
