Nearly, but not beyond help. That's why I asked what Rev tuner JP got as there are still alot of Rev K's coming in, at a slightly cheaper price than the L3's.

The mod isn't that hard and worth trying if you do have a Rev J or Rev K tuner. It'll save you 45 quid, even from a good UK seller .

Maybe he does have a Rev j or Rev k tuner..

There are a couple of different mods and as many of the parts on the chineese versions were low quality non branded, they also may need replacing. These 2 factors are normally the cause of the HD issue on older tuners. So if you do have one of these tuners then it my well be worth trying. However some of the fixes (not mods) are a little tricky so you'll need a steady hand and a good solering iron.
