DM 800 Clone Picture but No sound

Hello

I have a DM800 clone , running image DreamEliteBH_DM800_72.nfi
HD channels and all other channels are up and running , but i do not get any audio , even on the freeview or standard channels e.g bbc 1 etc

Any advice or assistance would be appreciated

is your audio through optical via amp or tv ?
if through tv
check av settings that AC3 down mix is on yes this might work
as this turns hd channel audio on or off
or try different hdmi port on tv

Sound is via tv
AC3 downmix is on , tried different hdmi but no luck , as mentioned all the channels are up and running but no sound even on bb1 etc

I had a similar problem. I realised that it was a HDCP issue. The Dreambox actually broke the HDMI socket of my tv because i plugged it in the dreambox when the tv and the dream were on (there was probably a power surge). So i had to use the other socket.

Now whenever I plug anything into the broken socket I get HDCP error but the dm800 gives picture but no sound.

The sound works fine on the other socket.

Glad it worked for you.

Just a warning to everyone, DONT pull out or plug in the HDMI/dvi cable when the dreambox and tv are on, I broke the HDMI slot on a very expensive tv, so be careful. Now I only have 2 slots left. if I do it again Ill only have 1,
