just checking,
im just in the process of buying a 1.5tb external esata hdd, with its own a/c power, for my 800hd.
im using a 4gb usb stick at the momment, but that gets filled pretty quick when recording hd programs.
questions are, does it have to be linux supported, or will one that works for windows be ok?
will just formating with my 800 be ok??

Yes mate you should be fine with that, just select the format option from the DM800. Just the same as you did with your 4gb'er.
