Woo hoo new DM800 arrived!

Was excited so thought I'd post.

Got my DM 800 HD yesterday off someone on ebay who messed it up and said there was an error on the screen and it would not start up (corrupted/wrongly flashed?) and could not get it back to normal.

Anyway after reading lots on this forum for the last 2 weeks, I flashed it with a new bootloader (72 to be on the safe side, as I'm unsure what sim is in it) and then Nabilo BH 0.12, and it's all up and running. Thats about all I got done yesterday and had to stop as it was 2am!

I think it's a clone as it has some silver screws on the back and some other indications that make me think it's a clone, but the bonus is it has a 300Gb hard drive in it already.

So now I've gotta get CCcam and my sly card working on it! Will sort that out in the next few days. Also will be trying CS out!

Next task, put up a 1 meter motorised dish

Even a clone will have a sim sticker on the base...if you can hear a fan chances are its a clone
I could not get Cam working on Nabilo and had to drop back to Gemini 470 but hey it works..great HD picture

Yeah, I can hear a fan, but there's also a hard drive in there, so I hear that whirring too. Man this thing gets hot.

I'll play around with it to see if I can get CCam 2.1.4 working with my white sly card.
