    Dreambox CA error

Hi has anyone bought a dreambox 800 hd pvr clone box recently and the image on it has been the dubai palm islands image also when they bought the box does it have an on/off switch on the back of the box ?.
Reason i am asking i bought a dreambox 800 hd box recently and it had this palm islands image on it but was told to upgrade the firmware with the nabilo12 clonesafe image which i did and everything went swimmingly worked a treat, but when i switched the box off that night and switched back on next morning i got the Ca not found error. After a few searches it seems that this is caused by loading the wrong image for the box (or so i am told) but it flashed perfectly and worked when i 1st did it ?

I have reflashed the box with serial null modem cable each time receiving a succssefull flash done but when it re-boots it keeps going back to this CA error i have used diff dreamups, patched dreamups, various bl72 images redid the flash using the browser method and serial method each time as i say with apparent flashing success.
Now to the switch at the back of the box i am hearing from peeps that they have never seen or heard of a dreambox with an on/off switch (which i have on the back of my 800 box) and on the cd manual i have, the overview of the box does not show an on/off switch now i am beginning to think the box is not what it seems so any help on the issues i posted would be greatly appreciated. thx in advance

strange about the power button mate , tbh i wouldnt mind one on mine , save pulling the cord and fidgetting to get it back in (too close to the toslink input), try another image from download section and see how you get on bud

                  1. This DM800 has a switch. The original DM800 doesnt have a switch. its still a DM800. These are the latest generation ones. (They have a fan ontop of the heatsink aswell)
                  2. The box is preloaded with GP 4.4. It works fine. You dont need to upgrade it. If you do, you need to use the image patched for Bootloader 72 NOT 75.

That was part of the message i received earlier when i asked about the box i had read about a fan being on top of the heatsink and people say the clone is better than the original because of this but the switch was new to me and a few others.

I don't want to knock your box but if you have to load Bootloader 72 then it would seem to me that your box is older then those of us with Bootloader 75 but this has now been replaced by Bootloader 76. Reading some of the other forums i am starting to think that the clone manufacturers are trying to squeeze as much money out of us as they can by upgrading the Sim and bootloader every few months as people stop developemnet on the older bootloaders.

Hi I am new to all this but ive just brought my dm800
and it has a on off switch on the back too?
dose this mean dm800 might not be a original box but a clone ??
