defect tuner rev L3????

I have bought a new tuner "rev L3" to my clone dm800hd instead of my old "rev K". I bought if because of freezing on some channels an I have read that this tuner could solve this problem. But when I put in the new tuner, my receiver reboots and reboots all the time. When I put back the old tuner it works normally again. Does this means my new tuner is defect. Dreamboxshop.co.uk will not send a new to me, before they have the defect part, so that means it will take nearly 2 month and a lot of work, to get a part which works perfect.

Even with this new tuner you will get break up. You will need a inline amp

Make sure the new tuner is seated properly , also try and flash a new image , some images have differant drivers in , btw , i have a rev k tuner, which was glitchy and couldn`t get signal on HDTV channels , however after soldering a new capacitor , it now works perfectly , really easy to do , just solder 2 legs to 2 original parts on tuner componants . I have an inline amp on my system. I have also tried another image, but the problem is the same. So I think it is defect.

Yes it is tuner fault, if you used a good seller you would prib have had it swapped within 2 to 3 days can't see why it would take months

It is because dreamboxshop.co.uk is from China and from I ordered it to I receive it, it took 1 month and now they want me to send it back to them before they will send a new one, so I guess that it will take over 2 month, before I have a new one.

Now am I confused. I have bought a new Tuner "rev L3" from another company, but my receiver still reboot and reboot. So what is wrong with this shit. I don?t think that I have got 2 defect tuner?s (or what). Or can this tuner not work in my receiver???. It is a dm800Hd Clone with ferrari simcard. The reciver is now in a price, where I could have bougt an original DM800 and it still freezing on some viasat channels. Come with a good idea to solve this problem for me.

put new tuner in , put box into http serial mode ,flash image and see if it boots up , (obviously ensure you are flashin a ferrari image)

Have tried with a patched ferrari image. Same problem.

Have you tried a sim2.01 as ferrai may not be a stable sim to use and not suitable for the prossecor fitted in your box

I do not have a sim 2.01, but I can try with the sim which was in the receiver when I bought it. But if that works I have to use an old image again and that was not what I had hoped for, when I bought the ferrari card. But I get clever every day and it cost?s money.

Try it with orig sim as I know not all processors in clones are conpaitable with all sims

Now will nothing work with my old simcard, wonder why. I got an error under start with "no ca found". When I put in the ferrari simcard this error dissapears. Is my old simcard defect now. It worked last time I used it.

Reason why you get this is because you have the ferriai patched image still installed, you need to insert the orig sim and re flash with the correct bl image for that sim card, i have a quick tut on here to flash no ca
