KEYS IN DM800

WHERE DO YOU ACTUALLY PUT THE KEFILES IN DM800 GEMINI 5 I HAVE TRIED SATAN KEYBUNDLE IN USR KEYS AND USR SCCE BUT NOTHING IS HAPPENING AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG, REGARDS DREF .

sorry to seem ignorant, but how do i manually install this plugin in dm800 gemini 5 enigma 2. i used to manually install by ftp to tmp then using the blue button to install manually.i can see no way of doing this in this image .there must be some way to manually install plugins.perhaps its something obvious i've overlooked.canyou help me on this thanks for your help regards, dref

i wanted to learn a little more about dreambox hobby so i thought i would ask about manually installing plugins in gemini 5. i have been using nabilo black hole which has a built in keyupdater i am using it now to great effect but am still interested in expanding my knowladge .i wonder if members of this forum are scared to talk about keys or are they just disinterested in people who post questions which to them because, of their great knowledge,appear superficial or obvious, or have been answered elsewhere in the forum. if you dont want to discuss this in public feel free to p/m me. regards dref.

It is not a case of people being afraid to discuss the problem but majority of channels are only open through cardsharing rather than keys. The dm800 are fairly new boxes so a lot of us learning same as you are with your box and genuinely do not know the answer to your question.

thanks for your reply curious123 ,it had not occured to me that no one would know how to manually install plugins in dm800. if i find a way to do this i will post it in this forum. at the moment cardsharing is a mystery to me. i think i will try and find out more obout cardsharing as it seems to be the way forward. thanks again, dref.

To install a package in DM800 you can login via telnet or ssh into your box.

Then type

ipkg install <package>

or in newer images

opkg install <package>

If you decide to do cardsharing, you should think about the security risks!
You should just have trusted peers!

easiest way is to put your files in /tmp folder then with your remote press press green then yellow, chose manual instal IPK packages and the rest will be straight forward
