        Yeah right!

That'll be september 2011 then...Dont know why DMM even bother to publish release dates, since they have no bearing on reality.

I would say it will be on the shelves in September, Its basically the same Motherboard / receiver as the DB500HD with two added usb Ports a Screen and maybe a little extra space for an intnernal Hard Drive.

There is very little between these two receivers now, when you peel away the skin.

I read that Dream have already stopped manufacturing the 800.

Any Clone 800HD-SE or 500HD will be nothing more than cover and front panel, there is far more components & expencive chips in these new receivers for China to make them on the cheap other than using different Processors (but then these would not be considered a clone if they use different processors)

                Inside a cone 800HD: Not a lot !

Inside the the Dreambox 500HD . A few expencive Boadcom chips etc

Its got to the stage that to make a clone will cost as much as the real item, or they will start using far lesser materials & chips in there production, If you buy a 800HD-SE or 500HD it will be nothing more than a current 800 dressed up in new clothes.

A bit like this sad attempt clone 500HD receintly released... nothing more than a 800HD dressed up (somewhat )

I saw Dreambox 500HD clones from china manufactures starting from 80$. The chips cannot be expensive in mass production and don't forget that there are a lot of them which didn't pass quality control, they cost almost nothing.

                          Just look at
dreambox 500hd Products , China dreambox 500hd Manufacturers, China dreambox 500hd Suppliers, Made in China, Exporters, Factories - DIYTrade

there china manufacturers directly offer their products
                          it's often wholesale offers

ok, checked again most offers are messed up by Chinese guys

anyway, China makes its profit on quantity not on quality, even if they got their 3 bucks
