    dish positioner movement?

hi guys need a bit of help here, iv got a motorised dish with clone dm800s and dreamelite, now on channels on 28.2e most channels have roughly snr 76%, if i go to postioner setup and go to fine movement and press green for step west a few times i can get my signal near nearly 90% and higher for most channels but how do i save this then,i see it says postioner storage so i tried goin to that and saving then goin back to channel but dish seems to move back slightly again and then down to roughly 76%,so its not saving my new postion, wondering wud this mess up my lon and alt settings,im not sure wat set limits mean and goto 0 as these are in postioner setup also but didnt want to select incase i mes up as i didnt set this dish up to this box,any help wil be appreciated, thanks, (wondering after i save new postion i see a selection for tune,if i select this will this save it,dont wana select anything incase i ~~~~ up)

The solution here is Diseqc. You are using USALS is my guess. Head into Tuner config after you have stored position and then move from simple to advanced and select your satellite. Choose lnb 1 and select USALS off in that menu and enter your lat and long. Remember to choose the same positioner storage number you selected earlier and thats it problem solved.

Im new to a motorised set up and have noticed this when i flick from one satellite to another.

I get about 76 snr on Astra 28.2 then go to positioner set up and press tune choose a stong transponder and fine tune it and then get 100% snr which greatly helps my snr on Astra 28.2 but when i move to say Hotbird 13 degrees and back to Astra 28.2 the snr has gone back to 76.

Im guessing i used usals as i put in my long and lat and added a set of bouquets in simple mode.

My question is i take it i have to go to advanced set up and store but do i have to use a different store position for each satellite?

If i do this will it save the strong snr signal on each satellite?

Thanks in advance, noob trying to learn

          Andy.

Yes you have to store each satellite but in a way its better than USALS as it allows you to fine tune each sat which USALS does not do and Yes it will save that position.

Thanks Redout so would i name each sat, 1,2,3 etc when i store?

              What is the goto funtion?

As you can guess im a bit of a novice and only just started but got going putting in long and lat and a good set of bouquets.

Would like a solid snr on all my sats if possible without fine tuning everytime i change sats.

              Thanks in advance

              Andy.

Tried non usals get almost 100% snr after choosing a predifined transponder as in Brummies guide but when i press tune and then store and go back to my channels the snr is different on all the tv stations and is more like 70%

Is this correct the snr drops or am i missing something.

Ive followed the non usal guide to the letter and have no benifits.

I thought using non usals would greatly improve my snr at a constant high rate all the time.

Non Usal guide need a push in right direction thanks

Tried to follow the guide for non usals,my problem is when ive selected all of the sats in the advanced mode and chose a sat with a strong signal there are only 4 sats to choose from, anyone know what im doing wrong.
Astra 28.2 and hotbird 13 are there but Astra 19.2 isnt.
Ive followed the non usals guide to the letter cos i want a strong and constant snr when i move from sat to sat.

Dont want to use usals in simple mode cos i have to fine tune everytime i move sats.

Can someone point me in the right direction thanks.

                      Ive read both guides.
