m8 all you need is a in-line amp to stop the glitches on hd channels.

to establish what tuner model it is , remove it from box , and on underside should be printed Rev L3 , Rev J or Rev K , btw L3 has had some reports of still glitching .
As the poster above says , get an inline amp , Make sure it is the "sloping" model "13db to 19db sloping" , dont just buy the 20db one , Try it and try and stick with the box for a while , it will be well worth it in the end mate , plus plenty of helpful members here if you get stuck , good luck mate

sounds like good spec mate , should be printed on underside of board (on green board of tuner)
as in pic attached (ignore the circles)
you need to remove back-plate then remove tuner

some info in this thread regarding genuine images

dm800 doesn`t output full 1080p , only HD ready 720p/1080i . so dont see using a 1080p tv will make a great deal of differance , unless its got a top-notch upscaler in it (pioneer). like you say for ?145 its a lot of kit , and well worth gettin to grips with , one thing i would definately do is add a sloping amp "13db to 18db" as this reportedly cures the glitching issue .

dont be afraid to make a cable yourself , there isn`t much to it , google "fitting an f plug" think there is a few vids on youtube too , its a doddle mate ,
or failing that , ask the ebay seller to include a small patch lead , prob only charge you a quid extra .
                  good luck ,

That'd be fine mate. It's a bit long for my liking. I just bought an amp and 6inch patch lead for ?3.50. Off fleabay. But as it says above, making a lead up yourself I really easy
