    Dreambox 800hd switches off

    Hi guys, I my db800 is giving me an headache, I got just about two months ago but now it switches off on its own after boothing or when watching a channel, please can you help find solution to this. I am a newbie to this so any advice/solution is highly appreciated.
    I have enigma2 the gemini project. Thanks

    It is probably overheating. Make sure nothing is on top of it or it isn't on top of something warm. Make sure all the holes are clear and air can pass. Try taking the top off and stand it on top of the cupboard for a few days, see if it stays on then.

      Thanks Mjolinor, I have a laptop cooler/fan placed under it and still same problem.

        check your power supply for problems.....it may give unstable power to your box and may need replacement.

          is it just the picture that goes blank and the box stays on, or does the box actually switch off altogether?

          the first used to happen to mine and the box would stay on and i had to hard reset to get it back on, iv now switched to autoresolution and it hasnt happened since,,, touch wood.

              check another power supply...i think yours is fried
