800HD remote control issues!

Hey guys,

My 800 remote control is not accepting any input. The dream button stays lit red all the time. When we press any other button, the red light on Dream button goes off but then comes back ON after we stop pressing other buttons. I dont believe the remote is faulty maybe some how its got itself into different mode.

is the box itself working ok ,if it is there is a temporary measure you can use untill you sort your remote out. you need the ip address of the dreambox (if you dont know it try opening dream control center and the ip should be there )on your computer open up the internet and at the very top of your computer screen (where you see a left arrow and a right arrow to the right you will see the web browser )type in http:// your box ip / and press enter .your dreambox web interface should be on screen (if your asked for a user name and password the defaults are root and dreambox) you can change channels/view bouquets and even use a virtual remote on there .

Did you get this sorted?? my remote has just done the same thing... any idea what the fix is?

Doesn't matter I got it sorted...checked the other thread the op started and got the answer. pressed a few bottons pretty hard and light went off...can now use remote again.

If the red dream button stays lit
It useuallly means one of the other buttons are stuck in
Check them all ....................Paul

Had the same problem it was one of the arrow butons stuck
