want nabiloBH image for dm800 b76 sim 2.01

hi just got my dm800 yesterday and i dont like the image on it and i want to put nabilosat blackhole image on it .Ive got a dm500-s and a dm600 pvr but ive never had a dm800 before and on the add on ebay from the one i bought it says this about the box
Bootloader 76,Sim 2.01,Tuner L3


so im no sure about what i have to do its the bootloader i dont undertsand do i have to get a image with a 76 on it also ive noticed a site which has a file called ss76-to-ss76a-20100819 can i use this to make my box have a b76a as there is a image on that site called this

would this be anygood i was hoping just to find a nabilosat patched image for bl76 sim 2.01 but i cannot find any so any advice would be great guys and if i do need to upgrade my bootloader how do i do it

Hi guys,

Yes, the dream elite server is down.
Also their forum is offline and probably will not return.
(you can always check once in a while)
This means you cannot connect to the server for updates (Cams, addons etc.).

The bootloaders are not so important when you use a patched image.
It's better to have an image with bootloader 70 that works fine, then to have an image with bootloader 76 that has problems.

The bootloader 76B is designed to be able to have an original image in flash.
Just flash an original image with the webinterface.
DO NOT REBOOT.
Open the webinterface again and flash the image with the bootloader 76B.
THEN reboot.

I did it myself, works, but I'm not so happy with it.
Problems with booting, tuning failed etc occured
I rather use my patched dream elite 1.3 OE 1.6 image.
Way more stable.

Yes. Thats why I just moved to Newnigma2 (cant seem to trust Gemini anymore).. I installed original 3.0.1 and the 76B patch (76a didnt work).. seems ok so far.. going through the services/bouquets setup now

Since i didnt like Newgnima,, I also tried Nabilo BlackHole 012 (original) with 76B patch,, it booted fine,, though it took longer than usual to startup.. i'm going to reimage later and use 76a and compare

76B caused slower booting and several crashing when using the Packet Manager (one of the advantages of using original image)

I used NabiloBH 012 with 76a patch and it works great.. no crashing,, booting is not slow.. im sticking to this

So cossworth, Yes you can install NabiloBH 012 original image with patch 76a

Im using Nabilosat Blackhole and its a stable image.
Personally i dont see much point upgrading the bootloader if everything works fine.
Dont really see the benifits unless you want to use original images.

to everyone who has replied on this thread i did want nabiloblackhole 12 but the 1st day i flashed it the server seemed like it was down then later on today i put it on and my network wouldnt work properly it did at 1st but then stopped so after trying about 6 diffrent images ive had to put pli jade 3 on it as to me this is the only one that i can get the plugins from and be able to move about the menus no probs . 1 more problem though im used to my dm500-s and my dm600 and i just cannot get used to these settings for setting up my sats then tuning them in ect does anyone know of a very detailed guide including usuals and disecq 1.2 as i still dont have my dish properly alligned ive bought a new motor but ive no put it on yet .

also how do i get a omnikey usb card reader working i have the drivers installed through telnet i just need help with newcs do i have to download that in plugins menu ?

ive downloaded newcs now but can someone help me with what i have to do to the files for to get it to work properly i only have millenium in my dm800 and gamma in my omnikey usb card reader and nothing else no smargos ive found loads of tuts for other combinations but not the one i want somone please help me
