just to clarify , this image is 100% safe for clone dm800 , sim 2.01

issue reported above was the version for original boxes , which wasnt a dm killer , just reported "ca error" ,
original version now repaired and both versions available from link,

you can put this on clone provided its sim 2.01
as for this v gemini its personal preferance , may be good idea to stick with gemini for now , as the makers are still ironing out this image

simple words your worries .What do you mean by "bootloaders" ... then ...
killing the dream, but after when ? 1 day ... 1 year ... 100 boot ???...

no. i got it from a reseller.
i could login before using root and dreambox but after flashing with the new image this doesnt work anymore
i now switched authentification off in the on screen menu from webinterface and everything works fine but i am still wondering if there is a way to change the password

use putty or telnet on your pc login as root the type "passwd" without the quotes, then type your new password, press enter then type new password again and thats it changed, when you type your password the cursor wont move, but it is typing.

edit: just tried it but to enter telnet i have to enter the password as well
