    No movement on motor

    Hello everyone,
I have just bought a 800hd clone and have read all the info I can find but cannot get the motor to respond although it works fine with tm 5400 and a protek.a thread on the forum indicates this could be due to poor inadequate psu supplied of only 3 amps.Does an original have a stronger psu than this? would it not blow the box if I replaced psu with for instance a 4amp psu?
Does anyone know what to try?

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi unclejohnboy,

I had this problem with my dm800 not moving the motor I think it is a underpowered psu . I tried every image there was but still the same result . Did you buy it from yaoxin in china ? as this is who I bought mine from had to send it back to them cost me ?26 postage I am having a big fight with them trying to get a refund from them .
I made a big mistake buying a clone fron china to much hassle if anything goes wrong as I have found out to my cost .

Have you followed the guide for setting up usals? this is by far the simplest process and removes some potential other problems too.

I bought it from dreambox.org.uk and only realised it was from China when the paypal receipt was received via e mail.Have sent e mail to their website but no reply.
I fail to see how a box with 12 volts power supply can drive a motor requiring 13/18volts anyway?
Regarding setting up with usals,I have never had any success with this with any receiver. My start point on set up has been 1 west but how do you accurately transfer this 0 to 1 west to give you the accuracy required for usals.

thanks again for your time all.

I got my DM800 from them about 2 months ago and it is working perfectly. Powering my motorised dish, no problems with tuner and a good price too.
