Quick answer just for you, when you unplug a db800 you can not plug it back in straight away.
Wait 15 minutes then plug it back in.

Try flashing with Dreamup, so long as you use a valid image that will sort it.

Hi, I've a similar problem, I've used DreamUp(patched) to flash images, they seem to work, 1 even started then wouldn't get past the video set-up page, I don't know if i am using the wrong image for a clone, it did have a Black Hole Nabilosat image before it went corrupt.. Any ideas??

                  Its a DM800HD PVR I have..

Make sure you flash the rigt image for your bootloader.

                    THE TRUTH
                    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Can anyone recommend both an image and a bootloader for this model then?

                          dm800 problem

                          Hello Bhoy100,

I've been trying to solve this problem for the last two days, finally think I've cracked it.
This is what I did, I downloaded a patched version of Dr*amup, If you look on the web you will find it.Its in a file called 2nd_stage_pack. (follow the included instuctions when using).

Next download bootloader 72. its called secondstage-dm800-72.nfi (needs to be a nfi extension not pki.)

Next download a gem*ni 5 image that includes bootloader 76....again its floating around the web.

Now down to business......Use the patched dr*amup (IT ENABLES THE GREYED OUT BUTTONS)...Load the bootloader 72 nfi file (secondstage-dm800-72.nfi)....flash with this until done.

Now when you boot the DM800 as normal...it should briefly show you the i.p. address in the front screen...put your glasses on its small.

go through the process as explained elswhere on this site...of flashing via your computer web browser. but when you are asked to browse for a file, pick the bootloader 76 nfi file from the gem*ni 5 download... flash this via the web browser.

You should then be able to go through the process again to flash the gem*ni 5 image either by browser or null modem (dr*amup) method.

please note....this worked for me...but you do it at your own risk
as it seems that dm800's or clones can vary in their build.

hope this has been helpful...sorry the text is messy...hard to explain.

No, tried this, all it does after boot is successful is to run in DHCP mode and tell me bootloader 72, there is no IP address to be seen, is there any other way of finding out my box's IP address??

Sorry for being a total noob but there is about 1000 bootloaders out there and trial and error could take a while

Have you got No Ca Found or are you just trying to find the correct bootloader for your box??

Have you tried to connect with Dreamup 1.3.3.4 thats normally the best Dreamup to use.

We need more info if you need help,Where did you buy it from? Which sim? What image have you tried to flash with?
All of this will trigger more help.

                              Andy.
