No, tried this, all it does after boot is successful is to run in DHCP mode and tell me bootloader 72, there is no IP address to be seen, is there any other way of finding out my box's IP address??

Sorry for being a total noob but there is about 1000 bootloaders out there and trial and error could take a while

you need to keep your finger on the "on" button button after dreamup, box will go into flash mode then and display i-p in lcd display on box.
simples ... apply mains power to box whilst keeping on button pressed , watch display for i-p addy

How do i find out which sim, there is no sticker on the back to tell me, all the info I can fnd is a coloured DREAM logo holographic sticker and a barcode with MODEL : DM800PVR-S with a s/n and a MAC, inside there are no markings or stickers. I've tried loads of images, sim201 nabilio black hole, sim201 dream-elite black hole, sim201 OozOon image. After typing this i'm maybe thinking of giving sim201's a miss

I've managed to get to the DM web interface using IP, it says there is no OS installed, it says its a Dreambox Second Stage loader BUILD #59, DM800, there is a button to update firmware, which firmware/bootloader/image to use or do you need more info?

I've got an image on it now, 'EDG-Nemesis-1.0-dm800-e2_24-12-2009-09-11 ' its not the ideal image I wanted but its a start How can I go about putting satellite details on it, I'm ok with cams and bouquets I think as I've done his before...

What is your sat setup: motorised or fixed. What I would do in your position is down load the DM800 pdf manual. You will find it with internet search engine, and also read the stickies here.

Its just a fixed dish, I had the box working fine for a few days, it crashed then i have all this I'll have a read then, cheers for the help
