    Signal Strength

    Hi.

How would I improve my signal on my setup. Currently on 28.2E (Sly UK) on Sly Sports 1 HD I get SNR= 69/70% AGC= 99% BER= 0

On Movie channels I get anything from 55 - 68% SNR.

I have a DM800HD which came loaded with a Gemini Image version 5.10.

The picture seems to freeze every so often which can be annoying when watching movies and sports.

I have an amplifier which makes the HD channels nice and clear but doesnt help the freezing which I think is down to low SNR.

Do you think I need to get out the old ladder and have a play?

    Thanks!

I used to suffer the same, until i boosted my signal to 90 - 95% with a in-line amplifier.

        Since then all good.

Just had a little play with the box itself.

I removed the amplifier and the snr of channels like bbc1 hd shot up from 70% to 91%, but the Sly Sports/Movie channels become rather glitchy.

I'm thinking of trying a lower power amplifier?
