    dm 800 boot problems

ok guys i had a new tuner with a capacitor broken so i desoldered one from an old tuner. Thing is the legs snapped and the only way i could bodge it was to attach 2 piecees of wire to the broken legs and the resolder to the tuner. Now im guessing this is totally wrong but the box turns on and iv flashed an image. It gets to boot but the progress bar only moves 10 mm and then it reboots again. i have also added a new 2.01 sim . Could someone advise me if the wires iv added could cause the problem or is something to do with the sim. Pulling my hair out here

    cheeers as always

try booting it with tuner removed , am sure i read it will boot ,
with the sim swap did you do like for like , (did it used to have 2.01 ),

btw . a new cap would only cost pennies , maplin do them if you have a local branch

if box is re-bootling on progress bar, my gues is your mainboard is rev J, the L3 tuners are now for the mainboard rev L you must state to your supplier that you have main board rev J as he will send you a rev j compatible L3 tuner
