(Clone) Glitches in recordings, please help

    Hi,

I have some problems with glitches on my dreambox 800 HD...

the first i did was ordering a Dreambox 800 HD with Gemini 5.01 image, Boot 76a, SIM 2.01 , Tuner alps l3 from lowpriceshop.eu.
The box seems to work fine. I ordered a USB cooling fan and placed it under it and now it doesn't get hot.
I'm from Denmark and have a 1,25M dish for 28.2 E for receiving Freesat and i have bought a Sky card for receiving Sky FTV channels. I have other boxes and htpc that also can see the freesat channels and there i don't see glitches.

I received the DM800HD and hooked it up to the dish and scanned 28.2 E for channels and organized my favourits.
My Goal was using the Sky FTV card in the DM800 for recording on mostly Channel 4 HD. I have configured cccam and it reads the card.

The box descrambled channel 4 HD but it was so glitchy that it was not watchable nor recordable. glitching every few seconds.
So i ordered an amplifier to solve the problem. I ordered it of ebay and got one that was recomended from this forum.

I then put that in and the glitches on the box were gone. I tried recording some tests and some went fine and other had some errors/glitches (tested with mpeg2repair). So the amp made the signal alot better.

But to be 100% sure that i have done this right what is in and out on the amp? what is for box and what is for LNB?

I had also tried reflashing the DM800 and i have flashed it to Dream Elite (because of the EPG)

I really want to be able to record without any glitches and the transponder Channel 4 HD is on should be that hard to get in Denmark.
I talked with some on another forum and they said i maybe should check my dish. and i did that and have done that 100 times in the last month to try and fix this issue. then they told me i should try another LNB. the one i was using was a 0,1dB LNB (can't remember the LNB name).
So i got some recommendations from some pro satelite owners i Denmark. the best LNB for receiving 28.2 E and freesat in denmark is:
Inverto Black Ultra Quad High-Gain 0.2 dB (IDLB-QUDL40-ULTRA)

So i ordered that and got it friday and put it up saturday.

I could not see any changes in signal strenght (72%). So i tried fine-tuning the dish with skew and all and got 79-80% on channel 4 hd transponder. I tried an 3 hour test recording with out any glitches.
Then monday evening i recorded 3 hours and 20 minutes and got glitches.
Didn't when i recorded Jamie's 30-Minute Meals earlier that day.

I tested the recording i made monday evening yesterday and found those glitches with mpeg2repair. so i thought i might take the AMP of and put it in the line just before the box. So i took it off and before i put it in again i thought i might wanna check if there were any diffrens in the signal strenght since there where with the old 0,1dB LNB.
And then i saw this strange signal strenght. It said 89-90% on channel 4 HD. before with the amp in it was only 74% ! ?

That was weird... i tried an 1 hour test recording and there were some errors/glitches on that too (tested with mpeg2repair too).
I then put the amp in again just after the box and the signal strenght is now 74% again.
And then i recorded 2. episode of Jamie's 30-Minute meals. With no glitches...

I have done a 80 minutes recording last night too but i don't know if there is any error/glitches in that recording yet since i havn't tested it yet but will when i get home.

So is there anyone that can help me out here? and maybe know what to do?
Should i take the AMP of and try to fine-tune my dish again?
I don't know what to do now and i really need some help to get this working some i hope you clever guys might have the solution for this problem?

    hi

i have used the clone dm800hd and i must say they are loads of shit. keeps glitching on hd pictures even if you have the amp inlinje. you cannot beat a genuine one at all as the picture quality and relaiability is far much better.
