L3 tuner fix

I read that the "tuner fail" message on older J and K revision DM800 clone tuners could be fixed by using a 1000uf 16V capacitor at the bottom. However I just looked on the bottom of my tuner and it's an L revision with the capacitor already in place (the board looks slightly different too). Are there any fixes for these?
