I am new .I have just got a dm800 hd and I've been researching and reading A LOT It came pre installed with Gemini 5 enigma 2 with a sim 2.01 CCCam 2.1.4 was also installed .I have backed up image and Im going forward . I am a little confused as to which way.Some of the guides are 500 based or it seems like that . Do I need Dreamup ,Flash Wizard Pro ,Dcc . What else is required factoring in I want to do the unspoken thing re cards I will get such info when and if . what I am asking is the must do's at this point

When i flashed a DM800 for a friend i used " Dream-up" to flash the image onto the box ( Nabilosat Black Hole Image used )....I then used Dreambox Control Centre to access the files within the DM800.... You are nearly there, just a bit more reading and you will succeed in time for xmas...

You can flash an image using the webinterface as well as Dreamup. Turn the box off at the mains, switch it back on whilst holding the power button and hold untill it displays an ip address put the address in you web browser and it will open a page, choose firmware upgrade and point it to the image you want to flash. It will only take a minute or so compared to an hour with dreamup.
You can then add your bouquets and settings using Dreambox edit. Download CCcam from the server within the image you flash.
There is an option to back up your settings and bouquets, when you do this and you flash another image in the future all your settings are saved and you only need to download CCcam.
