I found that this is impossible because there is only one tuner on the box. So I was wondering if I pre order one of these Linux USB dvbS-2 tuner www.smssat.biz/product_info.php?products_id=184

    Will it work

Well i know everyone is using the dvb-t tuner to record the terrestrial channels using the dreamelite image, as long as you have the Linux driver i cant see it being a problem, wouldn't pay that price for it thou...

In theory it should work ! but it wont for the simply there will be no way to get the Drivers onto the receiver for it to function.

Dream-Multimedia and Dream-Elite support hauppauge DVBT plugin Tuners and a few other products using the same Chipset coming from or used by hauppauge.

The other problem is there is no Interface where to select a second tuner, A Plugin would be required for the Dreambox to see it and opperate it.

So for those Reasons no it will not work, But the is a big Competition running currently by Dreambox for programmers to come up with New Plugins and Applications so it could Pop-up if someone has though of it as a good idea, or perhaps yourself.

It's been reported on various forums that the sundtek usb tuners work, this is just another case of anything that doesn't come out of the dream multimedia factory is worthless, this is what you get in every post from certain people.
