    REV M TUNER

Hi everyone, has anybody out there just bought a dm800+ with the new rev m tuner? if so is the tuner working ok?

i just got one the other day but i think the tuner might be knacked. i have tried it on 2 different dishes ( motored and static ) but it only scans 236 channels on 28e and it wont turn my motor. my dm500 scans over 900 channels and turns my motor no problem.

i also checked the voltage coming out of the coax and its 10v on the dm800 and its 18 v on the dm500.

i am just trying to find out if its a one off or is there a problem with the rev m tuner?

I got 1 and it works perfect and 3 of my friends have them also and the tuners are spot on m8, sounds like you have a faulty tuner or bad signal from the dish

also you have set you dm800 up correctly for the motorised system as you need to use usals and enter long and lat

yeah mate i heard that too. i have overlooked something though. my power adaptor blew when i got the dm800 so i used the power adaptor from my dm500.

i checked the power output on both dm500- 12v 2amp, dm800 12v 3amp. im hoping that a new proper dm800 power supply with sort this cos i like this box

checked it on two dishes 1 motored, 1 normal mini dish. coming back with 235 channels on both. rescanned my dm500 on both dishes, over 900 channels. i am hoping the power adaptor is the cause.
entered the long and lat but the motor is not moving at all even with the increased voltage in adv set up, the motor is working ok with my dm500.

This can also be caused by capacitors on the underside of the motherboard as the rev M tuner is like a week old since its release i do very much doubt its faulty, i do personally think its to do with the caps... caps C31 and upwards etc are easily damaged...

well i have got a power adaptor coming in the next day or so.
i will connect it and see what happens. failing that it looks like being an expensive door stopper cos the factory in china don't look like helping me, they are trying to say it's my set up,

china love taking money but when it comes to faulty items they always try to brush it off..!!

i always buy from uk so much easier when things go wrong you not got to wait a week to return it at ?27 gbp to china either

                      Hi bubbles,

Do you know where i could pickup a rev M tuner from please?

Got bootloader 72 and tried rev J, and rev L, rev L was a bit better but still got glitching on sky sports 1 hd and disney cinemagic hd so thought you might be able to advice, in line amp makes it better but does not fix it exactly?

The new version of rev M (801A) only works on rev L motherboard, if you have BL72 my bet is you have rev J mainboard and it wont work it will send box into conatant reboot due to voltage not being enough for the tuner
