dreambox800 with 2 harddidks

I have a dm800 and need to know if i can use both internal and external esata harddisks together...
The internal hdd is nearly full But i have an ext lacie that i have connected via esata but its not picking the external drive...

is the esata the same as the sata port? When you open the unit up you can only have one or the other to my knowledge.
