sat 5e?

hi very new to this i have my dm80 with blackhole, when i look through list of sats i cant see 5e only 4.8e am i missing something? should 5e be there also? if it should be how do i add it?

sometimes it will be listed as 4.8E or 5E

i take it you mean in your bouquets it says 4.8E but on your sat setup it only shows as 5E..?? so you cant view any channels

on the boquet it says 4.8e but been told that 5e is where v**sat is and on bouqet and sat list i have no 5e so a bit confused

when you move your dish does it lock onto 4.8E or 5E..??

they are the same satellite but are sometimes listed differently depending on how your xml file was set up..

basically if you want to watch a channel on that sat your bouquet and satellites.xml file have to be singing off the same sheet..

if one says 4.8E and the other 5E then you wont see a thing

ah right ok think that may be the prob mate, i can view some channels on 4.8e i guess it might be worth scanning the 4.8e sat to see if i can pick them up on it

you really need to find out what satellite is in your Satellites.xml file

when you move your dish does it say its pointing at 4.8E or 5E

which ever it points at make sure your bouquet is set up for the same satellite..

ok mate done that and yeah its working 100% its pointed at 4.8e now and boquet is 4.8e so all good thanks for ur help mate

ok iv been having the same probs with mine for 4.8e 1w and 28e.

at first i couldnt see the sats but i then went into sat configuration and transponer edit and match them with the 4.8 1w and 28.e i have in my bouqets then i could get a lock. is this right what i done?

but im only pick up about half the channels on these 3 sats getting switch service could not be found even tho i have signal. is there something im missing here?

ps im using Nabilo Darkstar 2 as i read this may be a common fault on it.

will depend on dish size the chnls you will get. on 5e and 1w.

I'd change the image mate.. If its a common problem then why have you stuck with it..??????

hey i just stuck with the image mate coz it worked far better than pli or anyother i put on my box. i got the prob sorted with the channels so all good nw
