Change record file output

Is it possible to change the record file output on the DM800? I seem to have issues playing it back on my Popcorn hour once it gets above 2.5GB.

Is there a way to get it to split the file or save in another file format?

Its really strange as its the first time I have ever had issues playing back on the Popcorn

Where exactly are you firstly recording it to. Is it to the internal HD on the popcorn or is tha just used for playback.

I am recorded directly to the local hard disk in the DM800. I have mounted the share on the popcorn.

Even when I copy the file to my regular Windows share it still wont work when it gets too big. It will always play back in VLC on my Windows or Mac machine.

The issue appears to be with the Popcorn but if there is something I can do with the output settings of the DM800 that would get around it.

Ive had issues with my WDHDTV player and sat recordings. Recordings from certain sat channels just wont play correctly on the player but play fine on PC. Im not sure if this is a codec problem or something in the header of the file. I presume that your HD in the popcorn is ntfs format? Sorry I cant advise.
