    magic eye DM800HD

    hi guys got myself a dm800 hd i've read about video senders but i'm not interested in them due to the cost i already have a cable running to the bedroom tv so would like to use that

    so question can i use a magic eye to watch tv upstairs

    if you are on about those sky magic eyes im pretty sure they are only compatible with the sky box.

      I was in the same situation, had UHF connection from Living Room to bedroom so wanted to use that. Unfortunately the DM800 doesn't have an UHF out so I had to buy a scart to UHF transponder. I also had to buy a TVLink Plus magic eye receiver and transmitter (with Sky you only need a receiver as the Sky box can power the line, as the dreambox doesn't have this function you'll need to buy a box to send power to the magic eye in your bedroom).

      I got both of these from tvlink, was around ?90 for everything. Set up last night piece of cake and working great.

      I tried video senders in the past but I found the picture quality not to be the best but have heard other people say they're fine.

      You may find alternatives cheaper on eBay.
