    Help: Fixed dish upgrade 28.2

Hey all, I have a dm800 setup with the normal zone 1 $ky dish. I am getting glitching on the usual espn hd channel 4 hd channels and have tried most things to fix this i.e. new images, cooling, in line amp etc.

My tuner is an l3 so don't think this is the issue. I have decided I'm gonna upgrade my dish to a 85cm fixed dish as I'm only interested in 28.2 and not the foreign satellites.

How easy is this to do myself? For instance will this dish swap over easily click into the $ky wall mount and can i use the $ky lnb??

    Hope this makes sense, cheers

Before you go changing dish's mate, try the inline amp again and make sure it is as close to the LNB as possible,as i had the same problem tried the amp close to receiver but made no difference so i eventually put it outside about 6ft from lnb and now all works perfect.

Does the length of cable make a difference? Only asking because from where it comes into my house there must be at least 3-4m extra and coiled up behind my tv??

From where i put the amp i have another 10-12mtrs of cable
to the box mate so you should be ok ,if this didn't work then
i would be inclined to say its ur dish, i have usually 60-70% snr on Sly Sports 1 but it works great.

your normal sky dish is fine for a stong signal from 28.2 so dont change it. dut mabe it needs tweeked wee bit. try another box and see how the signal is.

Yeah I've jumped dm800 ship, too many issues with glitching for my liking. I've got a vu+ duo on order that should be here in a couple of days so hoping that will be the end of all my problems!
