Just bought a new DM800HD. I did a scan of all 28.? and got aprox 1200 channels (all the correct ones dish already set up)but I cant view any of free channels, BBC ITV etc. i dont have a null modem at moment but at startup it says sim 201 76a and its "loading enigma2 forever and main picture is gemini project. Its suposed to have gemini 5.1 and bootloader 76 preloaded. Box is pinging and everything else seems ok. I cant see firmware upgrade in DCC. Do I need to upgrade immages to see free sat TVSerious help needed

Have you loaded a channel list onto the box? -

1st. the box can take a while to boot up
2nd when you finish the scan make sure you press ok and not exit
are you saying when you select a channel ie bbc1 nothing comes on the screen? what snr do you get on the info bar

Thank you both. Yes the box is very slow to boot but it is getting quicker to about 2 mins now. Loading enigma2 with gemini screen in backround. I have now loaded some channels from catseye(?) and everything is good. I am now trying to learn how to use dreamboxedit. Is there a prepared one anywhere, without 15 bbcs and 10 itv1.
BTW I am very impressed by the size and versatility of it and itys been on continualy(several reboots) for 12 hours but no heating and no glitchinh although I have not yet got to the relevant HD channels. Its a steep learning curve but i am getting there and thans everyone for help and any more advice from experts pleaseComment

the glitching mainly appears on hd channels mate i have a rev l3 tuner and just bought the cheapest inline amp i could get off the bay and it is absolutely perfect now i also had a play with my dish and get 100% snr on most sly uk and even get 98% on sly italiaComment
