I replaced a L3 tuner with a Rev M tuner. Works fine definitely improved over L3.

Previously without a in-lin booster, Discovery HD, ESPN HD, Disney Cine HD were all glitchy...The booster caused "tune failed" on other channels however..

With Rev M.I dont need a booster anymore and Discovery HD, ESPN HD and Disney Cine HD are all fine.

However I do have low SNR on Sky News HD and Sky Arts 1 HD..and they do glitch sometimes...I have a feeling I may need a slight dish alignment tweak to sort this..they are both on the same transponder.

Also my Rev M tuner arrived damaged in post from Yaoxin, the big cap on the front top corner was broken off the board..legs snapped.

Tony said send it back...for repalcement, but i repaired the cap and soldered it back to the board...quicker and cheaper then sending back to China..

Hi, I have a L3 Tuner, Discovery HD, ESPN HD, Disney Cine HD were all glitchy, but with Inline Amp, it sorted it, and dont have any problems with any other channels, so could be your dish m8

            Thanks

                The tuner is the following:

                BSBE2-801A Rev M

Got it for yaoxin (Tony). However the Tuner inside the Unit is faulty, so a replacement is being sent in the mean time i have added my rev J tuner back in there.

So i will leave feedback once the rev M tuner is received and popped back in there.

Build quality from the inside seems very high... and no custom charges...
How is the box doing mate, any glitching?

did you ever get any customs charges, I'm about to order 1 from tina and was wondering how you got on with your replacement tuner.

                cheers

Sorry for the late reply guys, finally received the new M Tuner.

                  Now here is the review:

Box built quality is too perfection internally. Really neat and clean.

Box works superb personally i am using the ICVS image.

Its a sim 2.01 with the rev M tuner.

In terms of glitches, i can finally view all channels now, no more tuner failed, although you may get an occasional glitch here and there on ss1, although that could possibly be my lnb, or dish allignment... however no inline amp and never seen it as good as it is at the moment.

Receiver, i think is the same as the dm800 only different is the M tuner personally i think which UKdreamshop are now selling for all models, but by selling mine i made a small profit so why not, its always a bootloader upgrade to say the least?

In terms of order i ordered from tony, not from tina, and if you can ask them to check the Tuner before sending, because chances are you might receive it damaged to as most people did, and the replacement takes 2 weeks to arrive....

Other then that, defo worth buying, any more questions let me know.

I asked him to undervalue it to 35usd, and so far no custom charges and was send as gift too.

                  What can i say!

                  Enjoy!!

Any questions feel free to contact me or ask..

I also have a couple of new DM800HD Pro with Rev M tuners, got them last week.

I cant really say theres any difference in build quality between these and the earlier models, I have a older DM800HD with L3 tuner SIM2.01 also from Yaoxin about 8 months old.

Theres no difference in build quality, also I swapped a rev M tuner into the old DM800HD I have, and again theres no performance difference between the old clone and the new DM800 Pro.

The L3 tuner was glitchy on Discovery HD, Disney Cine HD and ESPN HD. No issues with the Rev M tuner.

The only differences between the 800 Pro Model and the old DM800 clones are, Rev M tuner, and Fan modification, so fan switches off in standby... Thats about it.

So if you have an old clone with L3 tuner, just change the tuner to Rev M it will cure any HD glitching issues you have. The fan mod you can do yourself as well...

No real need to upgrade the whole reciver to a 800 Pro. My old clone originally came with SSL 76A...takes less than a minute to upgrade to latest bootloader 76D...

Actually sold for ?217 , so yeh , you probably right , walk away with 180 odd , not bad for a box i have used for a year , chucked an old 80g hdd in , offered a bit of help with cccam , and bit of sales pitch , and the bids just kept rolling in ,
how long did your box take from tony Styla ?
and did you get an online tracking number ? cheers

Dead right mate , my box came with bl72 over a year ago, and still runs latest 76d , seems a common misconception people have , that there bootloader is un-upgradable ,
The important part is the sim , all sim 2.01 s/w is compatable with all sim 2.01 boxes !

I currently have a blade7000 and going to invest in one of these as soon as i get it punted.

Always put off with the tuner issues but looks good so far.
