    settings 1 west

    i have dream 8oo,running dream elite,with catseye settings,i get all the sats and the list works but when i go to 1 west the list is greyed out ,says something like check config settins,i am using advanced with each sat numbered 1 west being no 1,i have manually scanned 1 west and the list still wont work,confused

    Give this a try... You need to edit your satellites xml file. Open what programme you use to FTP. (DCC E2) The file can be found in etc/tuxbox and you will see file there satellites.xml, right mouse click on it and click edit scroll down to the satellite you need to edit and then save, for 1W you need to edit so it looks like this line:


    <sat name="Thor 5/6/Intelsat 10-02 (1.0W)" flags="0" position="-10">

    Also check 5E as it normally does the same to that satellite aswell.

          done it but hasnt changed it,still greyed out

            no such satellites exist.
            there true locations are 0.8 west and 4.8 east.

            @porter1 update your satellites.xml file with a new one see if that helps.

                thats correct, download the latesed settings to your box and all will be well.
