have put hard drive onto my dreambox 800hd followed instuctions but when i press red button get reading disc size to small have i put it in wrong thank you

Was the disk partitioned before you put it in there? If so try initialise the disk via the dm800 setup menu, could be that it's been partitioned incorrectly and may have only formatted part of the drive - hence the size difference. Also what size is the drive unformatted and what size does it report the drive as?

when i go to devices manager it comes up type ata harddisk dev/sda model samsung hm500ji size 465.8gb harddisk is sleeping then i initialize but no joy thank youComment
