Post power pulsing on motherboard.
DM800HD with REV L Mainboard and REV M Tuner, running Ramimaher latest firmware
problem:
When i cold start (1st time of the day) my dm800hd it's LCD screen acts as if the electrical power is pulsing , the lcd constantly changes from a faded screen (hard to see, very dark writing , shaded grey) to a normal LCD screen ( fully lit up) and constantly fluxuates between dark lcd to fully lit every 1-3 seconds.
then when the bootloader screen appears , the LCD screen is constantly shaded no pulsing just dark, hard to make out writing on it.
When fully booted the tuner fails "Tuner A; empty".
ITS NOT THE TUNER CAUSE AFTER 5-8 MINUTES THE LCD SUDDENLY BECOMES FULLY LIT UP JUST LIKE NORMAL.
SO I REBOOT the box and hey presto the channels work no tuner failed.
also i tried a brand new tuner and the same problem occurs.
don't think its the power adapter cause heard a sign of them going is looking at the led on the adpapter and if its pulsing its going or gone, but mine is constanly green.
What i want to know does anybody know what is cause the cold start problem with the power running thru the box, cause it effects the harddrive, the tuner and LCD and slows the process of trying to get the box ready to watch the channels.
Am i rite in saying it has someting to to with the capcitors, resitors , rumours are circulating that capacitor L31 and c31 near the tuner socket are terrible for going?
